Rat or Mouse?

My sister caught this. I tried to convince her to use a more humane method but no joy. Does she have mice or rats? What do we think?

Mouse..

Traps better than Poison.. When they work properly.

With Poison the bleed internally and die under your floor and REALLY Stink. For a few weeks.

It looks about the size of a mouse-trap to me, which would make it a mouse.

A rat. on the other hand, would be about the size of a rat-trap.

Looks more like a rat to me (even given Foxy's pic). Mice are usually pretty small.

In some ways maybe better to have rats... easier to catch and to keep out.

Looks like a mouse to me.

Rats are much bigger and have droppings the size of chicken pellets (if she has found any droppings).

Different varieties of mouse are different sizes.
