  4. Admin please help. Am finding it difficult to access this forum. I keep getting directed to 'mylocalforum' site or Facebook page. Many thanks
  5. It is the Dog Kennel Hill Sainsbury. The wooden huts is in the lower car parking area for the Hamlet football club. Near the car wash area
  6. I have just walked through the Car wash area outside Sainsburys, with my dog. I saw this very still looking cat with it's nose almost touching the pavement. As it didn't quite look right I approached it slowly. It paid me or my dog no attention whatsoever, but as I was very close I could hear a loud wheezing sound and could see its sides moving in and out. The hut it is sitting outside of has the door wedged open, I don't think anyone can be living there and no-one answered when I knocked and called out. This poor little cat is in dire need of some medical attention. Any suggestions?
  7. My neighbour, a blue badge holder, received a parking fine for staying 2hours 13 minutes. She asked for my help as she was trying to pay it by telephone. Having seen this thread we went to Sainsbury's customer service just now. They couldn't have been more helpful. They explained that blue badge holders still get up to 3 hours free parking, but you have to go in and register your blue badge details with the customer services. They then also cancelled her parking ticket from last week. Big thanks to customer service staff and manger at Sainsbury's, Dog Kennel Hill! 👍
  8. Madeleine Bailey, Armstrong&Co, 2,Dartmouth Road, Forest Hill.Faultless service!
  9. I know the history, it's buried in several threads. Just wanted a concise update from someone who may know. Thanks.
  10. Can anyone tell us when the new controlled parking zone comes into effect? It was put on hold as lockdown began but it would be good to know when it may be ready to start.
  11. Just seen this having replied to bathroom refit post...ditto! And it's local independent and within walking distance!
  12. A year ago adult son and I decided to refit our bathroom. New bath, wash basin, flooring, and tiles. We had never tried anything more complicated than decorating before. We had much help from the staff at Plough Homecrafts where we bought things we needed apart from tiles, bath, basin and cabinet. And we googled lots of "how to" information online. It turned out beautifully and fraction of the price.
  13. I think the advantage to the business is having your contact details on file, they can then send you any marketing and promotional material. Your details are very valuable to them. Your consumer rights are in no way affected by not having an e-receipt.
  14. Got wellies and rope and successfully hauled it out. The metal legs have been broken off the stand unfortunately.
  15. Noticed this morning that one of the benches has been thrown into the lake, on the house side. It's visible, not completely submerged. Has anyone got suggestions for rescuing it before it becomes ruined?
  16. I am furious. I have just seen one of the Alleyn's grounds staff blowing leaves and debris from their garden in the grounds of the school, through the railings, onto the pavement and curb of Hillsborough Road. I asked him what would happen to the debris, he replied "the council will pick it up". I know that the Southwark Street cleaning team have cleaned and swept the road and pavements here in the last two weeks, it was looking spotless. I would have thought that a business such as Alleyn's who can afford plenty of grounds staff and equipment could be more responsible for their own waste. Not very neighbourly and costs local residents more in taxes. Any suggestions as to whom I can contact?
  17. There are diggers on the field at the moment, can anyone tell us why?
  18. They are brothers, and not homeless. I know they have housing, and their lovely mum lives round the corner from me. They have alcohol and drug addiction problems. I think their mum would be horrified if she knew. They used to pester her for money but that seems to have stopped, obviously they're making enough from asking for money outside M&S. They had a brother until five or six years ago who died from circumstances to do with his addictions, very sad. Say "Hello, Chris" or Hello, Danny" but please don't give them any money.
  19. Hi Grace What's UAL? What is the information you are collecting being used for? Are you wanting to collect data/email contacts from local people? Are you collating information on behalf of anyone else, eg local businesses, or local groups?
  20. "provide a sense of identity to East Dulwich and promote the area to residents and visitors alike." My family have lived in and around East Dulwich since the 1940's and it already has a very strong sense of identity to those who live and work here. The area "promotes" itself by being left to develop slowly and independently of too much corporate commerce and being a place where a wide demographic of people are able to live and work. I also think Southwark as a London borough scores highly when it comes to resources, recycling, ease of access, etc. So leave us alone please!
  21. https://photos.app.goo.gl/F4prWzso1B3sBdGx2 I've reported this on the council website. I understand there's a CCTV camera. Can anyone advise?
