Chener Books does it again

Hats off to Chener Books once again! I have been desperately seeking a book entitled Brewers Rogues Villains and Eccentrics, by William Donaldson. I thought it would be a piece of cake buying it on Amazon, but no they could not supply it. I then rang around virtually all the Waterstones Bookshops in Central London, to be told they no longer stocked it. So I then thought I would give Chener Books a try and yes they have it in stock. So all you people out there, never ever judge a book by its cover - Chener Books for me has come up trumps! Well done John!

I've a copy of this book too but I have to say there are quite a number of inaccuracies in it but it's still an enjoyable read. I like Chener books too.

My favourite snippet in that book is that a boy at Harrow School was "known as Bum Bathsheba on account of his opulent posterior parts"

i am pleased to hear that some people get good service in there. i went in with a simple question, not rude and not particularly stupid and they guy was a total tit. then when it came to paying he actually made it awkward. so back to buying books in review and kids ones on northcross road. sorry, he was simply rude which pisses me off because i actively try and support local shops.
