Thats the most WTF mental road scheme in London.

I drive it every day hoping that I might see a cyclist making the most of this crazy road. I rarely see one, certainly fewer than one a day.

I can’t help noticing that Southwark and Lewisham are under the spell of Sadiq Khan's innumerate gnomes. But that’s the green lobby for you all mouth and no maths. Don’t get me wrong I’m all for saving the planet, I just want to know that properly dressed grownups who don’t have blue streaked hair are in charge of that. Oh well, I’m off to Sainsburys with my three small kids to do my weekly shop now. They’ll have to carry their share of the bags as we fight to get on the bus. Then they’ll have to walk the half mile from the stop to our house.

Maybe I’ll get one of those child murderer cargo bikes and a grin of unmerited entitlement.  There We Are Then.

Well said, at last someone else who also thinks the lunatics have finally taken over the asylum.

If it weren't for those damn cyclists then you wouldn't have had to have your poor darlings fight tooth and nail against Beverly to get a seat on the 356. She's 84, yes, but she's spry and she'll gouge out an eye or two so she can get to the bingo on time.

Personally I say we round up everyone who owns even an ounce of licra and cut their heads off.

"don't get me wrong.." is always a red flag. It always comes just after something unhinged  - in this case " under the spell of Sadiq Khan's innumerate gnomes" and just before the opposite of what the "don't get me wrong" is meant to deflect from

Nothing in the post describes any problem - it describes things they don't LIKE - but no actual problems

a - you said you were done interacting with me, remember

b - " police, judge, jury, prosecution and executioner"  - the not very bright person's response on any public forum when someone point out the idiocy of anything. I haven't prosecuted anyone, executed anyone, or taken part in any trial or jury.

I have judged tho but then so do you and so did the OP - so what?

@Gingergossip

In deed a bit of a joker, totally tongue in cheek, got me and others, well done (check their profile out).

But unfortunately there is a bit of Alf Garnett here, where Warren Mitchell in As Death as Do Part, would say the most outrageous and offensive things.  Effectively mocking and calling out some nasty right wing beliefs.  But sadly some with those beliefs thought he was being serious, As we can see on this thread.

    • Good luck with this - it is getting harder than ever to do an infant observation, I did mine at a local nursery as I needed to observe a child from 9 months - 3years. Mine was weekly for 3 months, It is surprising what you can observe during that one hour. I continued to use my observational skills throughout my 21 year professional career, After I retired, I returned to University and trained as a Practice Educator and went on to have 5 students and encouraged them not just to listen but to observe their 'clients 'body languages/ environment/ relationships with others. I would urge parents/caregivers to participate - you will be surprised how much more you will understand about your child and their development,
    • Regardless of who 'owns' the bin- the organisation regularly comes to empty it and clear up the area. They were there today (Weds)
    • I was just giving advice as to what to do with a 9 year old during school holidays as per Pugwash’s original post. I like to keep it simple Sue.
