I kissed a girl and I liked it

The taste of her cherry chap stick

I kissed a girl just to try it

I hope my boyfriend don't mind it

It felt so wrong

It felt so right

Don't mean I'm in love tonight

I kissed a girl and I liked it

I liked it

absolutly no reason at all for this post except to ask why Katy Perry doesn't live in East Dulwich ?

How peculiar.

Do I start a thread entitled 'things that make Huguenot horny, discuss?'. Or do we know each other so well now that we share those self-indulgent moments?

This probably isn't the right thread, but it does remind me of an unresolved question from the homphobic/racism thread. How do the guys who abuse people for being gay know?

I mean, I don't give any overt clues to my sexuality. You wouldn't have Scooby.

I remember an earlier thread where someone wanted a gay bar in ED so that gay peeps could do their thing without fear of oppression. Having pointed out that gay people are hardly oppressed in ED bars, it became clear that what was sought was more of a singles club where people can 'openly' demonstrate their indulgences.

Clearly I'm old fashioned, but I'm not sure that my sexuality should be my identity. I don't french kiss in pubs.

With all hugs and kisses to LP, why would we post this video? Have we all gone a bit Finbarr Saunders?

Have we reached the point where running down Lordship Lane crying 'I like lacy red panties' is a valid comment on our contribution to society? We might like plum jam and blue duvets too, so why do we particularly want to shout about what makes us hot?

I assume that there's a certain thrill to discussing sex, as it's breaking a social taboo. A bit like playing the 'penis' game in supermarkets (who can say the word loud enough to draw a stare whilst retaining deniability?).

Is that what this video is... 'look at me I posted a sexy thing'?

Hmph, call me Mr. Gradgrind, but it all seems a bit playground.

In response to the question of how people would know a person is gay and your reference to not giving anyone "overt clues" to your sexuality.... well, I often see heterosexual couples who I know immediately are together despite their lack of french kissing action...affection is a wonderful thing to see in public - hands held, an arm around the waist and goddamnit a stolen kiss does not have to mean revealing your red lacy pants on Lordship Lane. There is a huge difference between the exhibitionist behaviour you describe and those small every day identifiers that every one should feel comfortable making.

And I do think our sexuality is a part of our identity... our drive to find a mate, to be understood fully, to be accepted....these are all linked to sexuality. And for those young people discovering their sexuality in their teens or indeed younger the emotions felt - of isolation, fear of rejection, confusion - surely have an impact on a person's sense of self? I don't know if it's easier nowadays but certainly it wasn't easy for my friends growing up in the 60s and 70s.

And let's not forget many homophobic attacks and much school bullying is based on no evidence at all ....just assumption and finger pointing.

For sure lol, but that video ain't nothing to do with being understood or accepted is it?

It looks suspiciously like a brothel and squirming sexually available types? I don't want to sound like Grandad, but 'it felt so wrong, it felt so right' sounds a bit like 'no means yes' or 'do what you want and bugger the consequences'??

If you reckon that's a bright idea to coach fourteen year old's with, then I'm scratching my head.

I find it rather tawdry.

    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
