I'd love to see a proper Mexican restaurant ala Lupita/Wahaca etc, or even a burrito place. Buts that's because I am greedy.

There's Casa Morita in Brixton Village Market, that's pretty cool.

I have to say - shock horror, poke me with sticks etc - that having lived in Bethnal Green/Hackney for the past 5 years, and been here only 6 months, I find the restaurant scene a bit meh. I haven't had a meal I've loved, even at Franklins, which i know is the darling of the LL scene.

We have a fish restaurant 46 east duliwich road we do fish cakes, white bait, grilled salmon,seabass,calamari,cod, haddock , place and rock, :) plus we do meat pies & butternut squash & leek pie.

the drive to Beckenham is rather dreary ( waitrose ) wouldn't it be great to have our very own Waitrose

Franklins is great if you like large bits of Meat.

Lovely restaurants in Crystal Palace (another thread perhaps?) Anyway, LL needs a Mexican, and another decent Thai or even Vietnamese.
