lloyds pharmacy took over the chemists on ncross road and prices have shot up. I went to renew my stocks of non-branded hay fever tablets to discover that I was buying the last proper non-branded pack available. There will now oh be "lloyds" branded medicines to buy aside from the normal clarityn type of branded medicines.

This will mean the price will almost double from 3.99 to 6.99. Apparently this will be the case across all of the over the counter medicines.

Boo hiss.

Since Lloyds took over they have become much more efficient in organising my repeat prescription.

Prior to that every visit was like Ground-Hog Day "Yes I did telephone it in 5 days go, yes my repeat presciption is with you - perhaps it is in that random pile of prescriptions over there?, no I am with The Gardens as I told you 5 minutes ago, no I cant come back, well go and find it then, well done it was out the back - like it always is"

Perhaps the previous lot had to sell up because their prices were too low?

That's a shame, always good for a variety of babyfoods and stuff. Though Health Matters sell the same things.

Boo hiss indeed. After using Maceys for years (who always had everything i need in stock) I have changed my repeat prescription to the Coop chemist on Lordship lane as I was appalled. Lloyds clearly have their own supplier who can not get them some pretty basic stuff. I waited 10 days while they blamed the manufacturer, which was clearly not true.

    • The Sky article says the manager has apologised. Apparently, according to the article the person who said they'd apply on Rachel and her husband behalf left and didn't hand the job on. • I'm utterly baffled as to why anybody thinks this is newsworthy, let alone worth a front page. The economy has barely grown for 20 years and the housing crisis has been worsening for a similar time period. Note to any journalists on the forum: maybe focus your headlines on important issues.
