Hi. We used Simon Orchard, he was great. Very relaxed two hour session at our home. Photos were lovely, very creative. There were lots the baby and family shots too. Simon gives you a CD with the images and then you can print them. He can arrange printing too but there is no obligation to do this. [email protected] and his website is simonorchard.com.
Hi there, please do have a look at my website http://www.shutterbaby.co.uk - I have lots of recommendations on the forum. I come to your home (or favourite outdoor location) and have a relaxed and informal approach to photo taking. I also give a discount to Live Love Local card holders. Thanks.

There's a scheme called the cherubs scheme.

From their website:

"Your baby is photographed on 3 separate occasions by your local Cherubs professional photographer during his/her first 18 months and after the final photo session you will receive a beautiful presentation triple folio. It contains three 5-inch images recording the development of your child: first when they are a few months old, once they can sit up, and then when they can stand. A wonderful keepsake!

You will also have the opportunity to purchase extra photographs from each sitting, under no obligation. This exclusive offer is made available to you by the Master Photographers Association. Thousands of happy Mums have had Cherubs portraits taken of their babies since the promotion was introduced."

The photographer we got is Asher from rockimaging, he's brilliant. He goes to your home with his equipments for he shoot. We bought more photos after each shoot as they are really good and are not too expensive. (Nothing like Venture pricing!) http://www.rockimaging.com/

We have also just had a photo shoot with Shutterbaby.

I can honestly say we are absolutely thrilled at the results. Sara-Jane made us feel completely at ease, was great with our little one and the photos have come out brilliantly.

I can't recommend her highly enough.

Thanks for the recommendation above. Unfortunately due to the Christmas demand I don't have any more free slots remaining this year. However,it is possible to buy a gift voucher for a Family Photo shoot as a Christmas present and don't forget there is a discount for you if you have a LiveLoveLocal card. http://www.lorenzophotography.co.uk/make-someone-happy-with-a-photo-gift-voucher/

Thank you

Thank you for all the suggestions when I originally posted this query - we went with Simon Orchard and he was really amazing - I would totally recommend him if anyone else is looking for a photographer. The shoot itself was almost 2 hours long and Simon was great with our 10 month old. We got a disc with the images on it that we can print from ourselves and can also get Simon to professionally print some images if we want to. His website is www.simonorchard.com

I can recommend to you my photographer who did a few sessions of my baby. Her name is Milla and she works mainly in London, but she also travels. She specializes in photographing babies, bellies, children and families. You can watch her amazing pictures on her website http://www.studio-milla.com/ Milla is really friendly and loves working with children. The pictures are really amazing, presenting not only the child, but also conveying all the emotions and feelings. They are also very natural, which is a great advantage of Milla if you compare her with other baby photographers who take these posed artificial children pictures. Just check her samples for yourself and see if you like her style. I'm sure you will:)

    • Disagree. Where are the police when you need them? People want a police presence, they want to feel reassured by seeing them do what the word suggests, policing, so go catch some bad guys, arrest, charge and get the CPS to prosecute with the evidence to enable this to happen. Stabbing and shootings are so common place they no longer even get reported in the public domain. How many crimes don't get solved? Rather case closed and forgotten. The number of low to high level crimes which remain unsolved is staggering.  The criminal fraternity know this, they know they won't get caught so they just carry on.  Biggest crimes which affect most people, probably are phone and car theft, both are prolific and what do the police do, diddly squat. zilch, nothing, provide a crime reference number and the case is closed. Not good enough, not by a country mile.   Met Engage? I don't think so.

Recent data suggests a drop in violent crime. Gang violence will make a significant contribution to the numbers. You are unlikely to be attacked by a stranger
    • Unfortunately there are plenty of shops which don't care and will sell vapes, alcohol and weed to minors, I'm sure they won't care about selling them fireworks. Or the kids nick them.
    • It’s getting a bit annoying. We’ve a nervous dog who trembles when they go off. I know to expect it around Halloween and Diwali but it seems to be happening more through the year.
