Fruit and veg/green grocers

So, moved to ED a few weeks ago and can't seem to find a good local green grocer? Places I have tried , like the organic shop on Lordship lane have been a disappointment. Any suggestions appreciated greatly, thanks.

There used tobe a great one at ed warehouse, but sadly no more. You have to go to Nunhead now for a decent green grocers... It really annoys me, I'd looooovd one to open up! Oh you can get overpriced stuff at smbs btw

Not ED, but Scotch Meats (Rosendale Road, West Dulwich) has a greengrocers attached - lovely fresh stuff and you can get terrific meat too!

Again, not ED, but greengrocers by Herne Hill station are also great - they have really unusual things....

When buying fruit and veg locally, I use SMBS, Franklins (especially the IOW tomatoes) and the shop on Forest Hill Road (next to The Rose). Otherwise I pick up veg on Rye Lane if I'm passing through that way. Also, more pricey, but General Store on Bellenden Road has some good fruit and veg, always seasonal.

There's also a lcoal veg bag scheme called Local Greens which may be of interest.

Thanks all, just found the place on north cross road. It's great, and the guy said they'd been there for 45 years so I don't think they're going anywhere!!
