We were fine earlier, but now have low pressure.

I've filled every vessel I can find in the kitchen. I still remember waking up with a terrible hangover and no water on Rodwell road a few years ago. We thought it would come back fairly quickly, but it lasted days. We had to ring MrJ's parents and beg them to come and get us so we could shower :-$

I must say, there have been quite a few water failures since I've lived in ED - I guess it's the ancient system here in London. It's always a bit scary when our electricity or water fails - just think we can't even run the dishwasher! Makes me think of some of my travels and countries where there isn't clean tap water available at all. We do rather take it for granted, don't we?

Then think about if we were reduced to using water from a river.. then think about the countries where Nestle pushes baby formula on the populace .. and the number of babies who die as a result :-(

    • I used to go to Brockwell all the time - when you could pay and spend all day swimming and sunbathing. Then around Covid time they reduced each slot to 1.5 hours (for the same price!) and have never - as far as I can tell - reverted to the old system (hard to be sure as nobody ever answers the phone!) It completely changed the experience. I have recently been to Tooting lido a few times which is much nicer. You get 4 hours per session (3 sessions a day) and they clean it each day between sessions. It's so big it's not difficult to get a space there and although it's further I have switched my allegiance!  With Dulwich pool still closed, it's a shame Brockwell has gone downhill.
    • Ah, grand! Yeah he was lurking near the vet when he first decided to promenade along Lordship Lane with us.  A friendly chap though he took gentle umbrage at me removing some of the leaves from his fur. Raymond!! What a treasure. Long may he maraud.
