hi all EDFs' I've been reading quite a lot about fake reviews and doggy tradesman. well we've use mark several times and he is the real deal, a nice guy and even better electrician. I only hope he is not caught up in all the scandal and would go as far as to personally recommend him myself and invite any users to PM me if unsure.

cheers

Very happy to recommend Mark and Lee. My hall light kept tripping the fuse. They were on time, courteous, sorted the problem and were clear and upfront about price. As they were so clear about what the problem was (the previous electrician had never mentioned or solved it) I have just had them come back and check all my light fittings and they found some of them had the same issue.

And another recommendation for Mark Best. He's just completely rewired my thirties semi. It was a major task as almost every single old wire had to come out. Mark did a great job at a fair price. More than that, when you've got a tradesman in your house for 3 and a half weeks, it really helps if they've got such a positive, friendly attitude. Recommended.

Really happy to recommend Mark Best as a very good electrician and a lovely guy. I found his name on this site and he came round to check out a problem causing a fuse to blow. He quickly found the problem and disconnected the appliance until it could be replaced. Came back a week later to fit the replacement and not only fitted the hood far more quickly than expected, but also pointed out and corrected a problem which I was not aware of and which could have been quite dangerous.

Mark is one of those guys you love to have around. He always has a smile on his face and is genuinely concerned that his work is of the highest standard. I would trust Mark implicitly with any type of electrical work and have already recommended him to several friends.

Where was the abject outrage when Dynamic Vines opened up literally next door to Cave de Bruno? But I don't see his customers decamped next door - no, those stalwarts are still out in force every night.  In Roman times all businesses were clustered by product. It's what kept prices down. Same in any market you go to abroad, they're all selling the same things next to each other.  Why is everyone being so hard on this new place? It's called healthy competition - you can't curtail the expansion of your business on the basis you that might hurt someone else's.

    • In restaurant terms I would say a chain manifests when the motivation is no longer “we are a couple/small group who have an idea and love food” who open a restaurant, them another and then a few more BUT THEN PIVOT to “we need capital to rollout out new restaurants so we have leveraged the help of the following investors”  that is the moment it stops being about the chef/food on the plate and becomes about the spreadsheet  so it is POSSIBLE  for a restaurant to have 50 branches and not be a chain - but I can’t think of any  I don’t know chango - by based on the number of outlets they appear to have just crossed/or are about to cross that line
