Hello admin,

Is it possible for crime to have it's own section?

I know it isn't the first time you've been asked to consider this, and I know you have your reasons for doing things the way they are done, but the main section has been depressing reading for a long time.

Please consider.

Thank you.

The Incident Room, I like it.

I suppose we can try it out, perhaps you could help me get head in the right frame of mind...

Incident Room or not?

- door to door window sales man /woman selling book door to door

- Local police (lack of)

- Accident on Lordship Lane this morning

- unexpected evening callers

- Traffic problems on Goose Green

- Bins, rubbish & Smells on Forest Hill Road

I have to say, having looked around the first two pages there is a lot of petty/non-petty crime going on.

There was a time when the main section was full of lost cats. Remember?

Nobody would mind an incident being on the main page if it was an emergency, but then it could be relegated. I mean, who needs to be looking at "bad traffic on LL this morning" for a week. Lifetime ban isn't good enough; find out where they live and give them a house call.

    • Surely that depends on the amount.  It can be quite piffling.
    • Apparently a tourist tax was Raynor's idea, but Reeves has put the kibosh on it because of the push-back she'll get from businesses
    • But a larger number, in a more hotly contested election, didn't. It is an anomaly that Starmer won a landslide in seats with a turnout for Labour which would have shamed Labour leaders in all the 21st and much of the post war 20th century.
    • I was not suggesting anything else!   I'm not sure how you interpret what I said  as "irrelevant"? I was responding to a post saying that Corbyn was "unelectable". My point was that a  large number  of the electorate  voted for him!
