I made an appointment for a home visit with Christian a week in advance. On the day he was supposed to visit, I had a missed call and a voicemail which just said "Hello" and then cut off. I rang him to let him know this and waited. He didn't turn up!! I left 8 voicemails in total and have not heard from him to date. No explanation of why he didn't turn up and no curtesy call to apologise. Very unprofessional!!

Just to confirm:

I called on the morning of the appointment and left a message on your phone to say I need to pickup my son from school and had to change the appointment to a another day.

You seem not to have got that message in full - sorry about that.

You have left two messages on my phone at the time the appointment was meant to be but I was not in the office by then.

I had no other messages from you.

Please don't make it sound worse than it was.

Again I am sorry you did not get my message in full and therefore did not know of my problem.

I understand why you would find my actions unprofessional but everybody who has children would hopefully understand.

Christian

The appointment was 2 days ago and you have not called to explain this!!!!

I have been ringing you but your phone has been going straight to voicemail. I tried to call you before I posted this message, but again it has gone straight to voicemail. This is because you must be working ... but you would have seen missed calls from me and I left more than 2 messages originally.

My first message explained that there was only one word left by voicemail and unfortunately the call cut out. You didn't then call back to explain what the message was. After waiting 2 hours after the time of the appointment and ringing to ask if you were still coming, I heard nothing and called to said that its best to leave it, as i had to go out and had things to do. I received no curtesy call from you.

As soon as I posted my message on this forum, you replied immediately when you could have posted and also called me!!

You say "Please don't make it sound worse than it was". The fact is you are trying to make it sound better than it was.

You also say "I understand why you would find my actions unprofessional but everybody who has children would hopefully understand."

It has nothing to do with not understanding, but everything to do with the fact that I have only found out why you didn't attend my appointment just now ... by reading it on this forum

    • Gosh, that all sounds so familiar!  Southwark are constantly holding up their Outdoor Events Policy as proof of process, but then constantly allow exceptions when things aren't quite done correctly. Point in case, Gala's licence application - extract from the Consultation Findings Report - "The GALA team formally submitted their application to hold GALA 2025 to the council on the 7 October 2024. It is usually a requirement that applications for larger scale events are submitted with a minimum of 9 months to process them, but discretion can be applied if there are mitigating circumstances. 8.4 of the Outdoor Events Policy clarifies that processing applications received outside the stated lead-in times is at the Council's discretion. In this case: • The council were aware that Assembled Gala were preparing an application for the event to take place in 2025 in advance of their submission date, with operational discussions already taking place • GALA festival has been taking place in Peckham Rye Park since 2018 – less time is needed regarding event planning than if it were a new event • The GALA team already have a Premises Licence in place for this event (this is a pre- requisite for the Event Licence to be issued), so no time needed to be factored in for a premises licence application and decision-making process" So despite the fact that there would need to be major planning decisions due to the change of site access, they didn't think Gala needed to adhere to the same rules as everyone else? Makes me wonder what other rules they are exempted from... On a similar note, has anyone received a Resident Communication letter, containing the contact details for issues? We haven't, and we live directly opposite the site on Colyton Rd. They were supposedly distributed on 29/4...
