Hi Sally,

I've just seen your ad. and hope you don't mind me applying for this job myself. I do general cleaning for 2 households in the Dulwich region, whom I have worked for the past 3 years. I can provide good recommendations and references from each. I can be Messaged here or you can call me on 07973155343.

Thankyou. Lorraine.

Yes! wholeheartedly. We have a cleaner called Regina who is looking for more work in the ED area. PM me for her number. Sbhe does a really really good job - even the little things like clearing the leaves off our front door step etc. She's super reliable and really lovely as well.

Cheers

Another recommendation for Polly. After a number of false starts with cleaners we found Polly on the ED Forum. She has been working for us for 18 months and is head and shoulders above our previous cleaners. She is ultra reliable, efficient and hard working. As stated in an earlier post in this thread, she even arranges for a replacement when she goes on holiday.

Polly's number is 07727 042636.

Would be very happy to give a reference so please PM if required.

    • I think there's a lot in what you say. Although bi election results aren't usually indicative of GE results, I was horrified to see Reform support was so high in what had previously been a Labour stronghold, Labour and Conservative results reflecting the tired old parties they are.  It isn't our generation (sorry @Sue if I'm being presumptuous!) that will decide the outcome of elections but those in their 20s, 30s, 40s ... if they can be bothered to vote. The Greens and Reform now present a real choice instead of two centrist main parties of the last 30 years which has put people off voting. Perhaps locally I will continue to vote Labour, i really couldn't bear for the LibDems to return and we have to consider the demographic of the whole of Southwark. But come the GE I will probably vote Green.
    • I agree but in the case of McAsh, that would just have left his constituents without a councillor for 3 months until the May elections. MPs switching parties is really galling. If an MP is suspended for law breaking etc., then a recall petition can be issued and, if enough of the constituents support it, a by-election is called. I think the same should apply for defectors.
