Be thankful we're not in Connemara - it's Mohune Central there. Flooding has caused graves to rip open and spill contents.

I'm meeting up with one of the Council Officers tomorrow and we will be discussing the flooding and if anything can be done about it, in light of the extremely high levels of rainfall we have experienced recently.

It's worth noting that the presence of trees helps minimise flooding as the roots provide channels down which water can run, unlike grassed areas, so removal of trees can make a tendency to flood worse.

I may have missed this (perhaps it's part of drainage issue). But does anyone know what the digger and bricks are being used for parallel to the backs of Ryedale houses?
