kristymac1
Hi, Can anyone recommend a window fitter please? I'm trying to get an idea of the cost to fit windows which we will purchase elsewhere. Many thanksKristy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/40204-can-you-recommend-a-window-fitter/ Share on other sites
grace3
Go for a good local multitrader, I would not recommend anyone from the upvc window trade, they clobber eveything with plastic 'cloaks' and then clobber the 'cloaks' with white silicon mastic. No, do it right, use sand/cement, internal gypsum plaster, whatever, NO CLOAKS! asha024
I have just had mine done by Scenic. Local family businesss. They did a really good job replacing all the windows in my Victorian House and also were the most competive. Links on here or do an internet search - I don't have details to hand. Paul will give you a list of properties they have done - lots around East Dulwich - so that you can have a look yourself. AA
I would recommend Bespoke Windows. I recently had three new UPVC windows installed by them and I'm most pleased about their quality and the fitters, who were really efficient and left the place clean. grace3
Bespoke windows are good but you have to buy their windows. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/40204-can-you-recommend-a-window-fitter/#findComment-715873 Share on other sites
Dapacouly
I got Roberts Window (they are in Beckenham) to change all my windows a couple of years back. They were really good and I still do not have any problems with these windows I bought the windows from them tho so I do not know if they only do fitting. However, would def recommend them, the fitting was really trouble free etc. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/40204-can-you-recommend-a-window-fitter/#findComment-716032 Share on other sites
lhodgson
We have just had three UPVC windows fitted by SDG Windows on Kirkdale (http://www.sdglazing.co.uk), who are FENSA registered. They fitted everything within the day, were quiet and courteous, took the old windows away and left the place clean and tidy. The manager came to inspect the work at the end of the day to make sure we were happy with everything. The windows seem to be great quality and they were very, very reasonable. Highly recommended.
