Sky Digital Signal on Hayes Grove

Has anyone been experiencing a problem with their sky digital on Hayes Grove since Saturday/Sunday? I am getting a message saying "No satellite signal is being received".

Reboot it. Reach around the back of the box and pull the power cable out, wait 30 seconds and plug it back it. It'll take another 30 seconds or so to reboot and another short while to find the satellite, but it should be right from there. If you have Sky+ it might take a little longer, but the whole thing should complete in well less than 2 minutes.

If that doesn't work, it may be that your dish has moved a little out of alignment, which will need someone who knows what the are doing to fix (i.e. Sky).

yeah we are on Hayes Grove and have experienced the same thing. tried fiddling with all the cables and boxes, but keeps coming up with the same message as you. Unplugged it all but even the normal TV siganls up the swanny.

I think the loss of signal is linked to a power cut that has affected the street lighting at the far end of the road. The signal from the terrestrial aerial is also down.

I have called the management company and they are looking into it.

I have an evening job, so this lack of TV is slowly killing me. But, maybe I should go out and get some fresh air instead.

General reception seems bad at the moment, I just have a freeview box, but usually get decent reception. Last night some channels were "scrambbled or unavailable". This is most annoying when you want to watch Family Guy before bed!
