Awesome handyman/ builder - now available

Hello neighbours,

It is with great delight that I write this recommendation.

You see, I have been holding off recommending our handyman/ builder, Daniel (DS78), as he has been SO good that I have been cautious about recommending him in case he becomes too popular! He is truly a gem, and it is about time I do the right thing by our community and recommend him here - so you can benefit too.

Our story...

Daniel has been with our family for almost a year now. I recruited him from the EDF to assemble some IKEA shelves in early 2013... He turned up on time, was efficient, polite and completed the task in the time he specified (at a reasonable rate - agreed in advance).

This lead to further small jobs:

- installing a range-hood exhaust fan in the kitchen (July 2013)

- helping with garden maintenance (August 2013)

- building a fence (September 2013)

- furniture transport and assembly (October 2013)

- sanding/ repainting children's climbing equipment (December 2013)

In December we commissioned him, and his business partner Alex, to re-do our entire kitchen.

The results are outstanding! (photos to follow).

They completed the entire kitchen make-over earlier this month and the striking thing about their service is the following:

- turning up on time

- discussing issues and problem-solving together

- giving us a range of options (and costs) before proceeding

- cleaning up after every task and at the end of each day

- making sure our house was always comfortable to live in (as best as possible) while renovations were taking place (such as access to hot water - functioning appliances etc)

- at all times making sure the environment was safe for my kids (not leaving tools out / wires exposed etc)

- completing the whole project on target (both budget and time - miracle!!!)

- negotiating trade discounts so I saved money

Choosing a tradesperson to come into your home is a really tough decision, that's why, for all of these reasons, I have no hesitation recommending Daniel and his colleagues.

I too have used Daniel both at home and at my studios (Push Studios) and he is fabulous, on time, efficient, thorough, and takes a real pride in his work, he is reasonable and can turn his hand to pretty much anything!!

Daniel mended my shed. He did such a great job, so I asked him to paint my flat. I was very pleased with the overall, professional result. I agree that he takes pride in his work and ensured I was happy with the job. In addition he was very good value also. I would also second all these recommendations for Daniel, he totally helped me out last week. Completely honest, because I had contacted him via the recommendations on here - but had also advertised on here saying that I'd pay X amount for the job - which I fully intended on paying whoever came to do the job for me.

He told me it was way too much, but for me, I had to get the job done that day. He really wouldn't accepted my inflated offer, compared to what the job would cost - I appreciated that - but felt it was really worth that much to me.

I'd happily recommend him and happily have him back.

Another recommendation for Daniel and Ferney who made themselves available quickly for a couple of days worth of handyman-type work, ranging from plumbing to mending flooring to making plinths, repairing kitchen unit etc...

They were professional, polite, punctual (and would text to let me know if running a little late). They are trustworthy and nice people to have around and are always thinking of ways to make you save money which is a great advantage when you are clueless when it comes to diy.

I would not hesitate to recommend them and use them again and in fact i have just called Daniel as I have another job.

And they both came back today to remove horrible gunk which was blocking kitchen pipes/drains under the kitchen floors. It was quite a job but again without panic they tackled it and solved the problem quickly and at a very competitive price.

Another recommendation... Daniel and his partner put up washing line, CO2 monitor, smoke alarms and changed letterbox. Friendly yet professional, reasonable rates and very efficient. Will be using again to put up shelves.

i`ll add it again as it seems to not show up ... in reading the ops post i did not see anything that made your guys stand out from any other handyman .all the above are very basic things to do and leaving the place tidy is just one would expect.have myself been putting right work in the area that has been done by people recommended on here .

Hi,

I have just used Daniel and his team for a series of small jobs, boxing some pipe work in bathroom, removing and resealing silicone around bath and kitchen area. Fixing loose tiles on kitchen windowsill.

They were brilliant, professional, really reasonable, attention to detail was excellent and final product was perfect. Daniel is a lovely guy, very friendly and helpful. They ensure that the customer is happy before they leave.

I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

Daniel is quite simply the best builder / handyman/ plumber I have ever had. He did not ask me to do this recommendation but I feel I must as it is the third time I have used him and each time he has solved long-standing problems and done a superb job.

The first time he did a superb job grouting and replacing tiles in the shower. He also inserted a partition between the tiled kitchen floor and wooden living room floor.

The second time he fixed an issue with the toilet and other little jobs in the flat.

Last time, yesterday, he solved a pressure issue with the shower which had been a problem for years. The previous plumber could not find the problem. But this guy could! Very tricky work due to the tight space and positioning of the internal chamber lime scale had been blocking the mixer.

The previous guy I used who got rave feedback on this site was unable to fix either the shower or the toilet issue, and he sold himself as a plumber, then insisted on good feedback, which I did as I thought I got a good deal since he said he was cheap.

Daniel by comparison did not ask for feedback and has done incredible jobs, solving every problem I've had and adding a lot of value to my flat in the process.He is also very friendly, explains everything clearly, and is very reasonably priced.
