Wanted - I.T / internet / phone line expert

Is there such a thing? Is there anyone local that can sort out why we can't get internet access in our whole house. BT claim it's thick Victorian walls that's the problem! Already have a WiFi booster which hasn't made much difference. Hoping someone can help! Thanks

Hi bumpy..

I live in a Victorian house and have no problem with signal.

From Router that is, but recently having probs. with BT Internet connection.

Could be deliberate ploy as they keep trying to get me to switch to Infinity.

Can even get a signal outside my house in the street.

Have you tried your PC in another Wi-Fi area. Caf? or so ??

I am an ex BT and Cable & Wireless employee. and worked in IT. until I retired in 2008 .

I could check it out for you if problems persist.

I would consider using your power line and then transmit the signal in key areas, it's relatively cheap and very flexible!

Have a look at the two links to see the kit you'd need.

Thanks Dulwich Fox and right-clicking. I've already got a WiFi booster but to no avail. Ideally I'd like someone to come by and advise on the best solution. Can you send me costs for this via PM? Thanks

Bumpy, This system is not a traditional wi-fi booster, they pick up and extend from the router, this system sends the signal down your household wiring and then broadcasts the signal from the point wherever you plug in the extender.
