We love Magic Moments creche, which is at Bew Court on Lordship Lane. Sessions are 9.45 to 12.15 and it's a really good introduction to nursery - the ladies are lovely, and particularly good at helping children settle. My little girl started at 18 months and loves it! Open every day apart from Weds.

Have you considered using a registered childminder? They can offer the same service for your 2.6 year old? Just a thought as some 2 year olds still need the reassurance of a smaller setting.

I know I tried with my youngest, now 15, when she started at a pre-school in St Faith's Community Centre for a couple of mornings. Parents had to attend for some sessions too and as she got so upset, I gave up as I felt I could offer her more at home.

    • I haven't had any problems, except when the online  appointment system is full, but I have found if something is urgent they can fit you in if you phone. I think they probably keep a few spaces free for urgent last minute appointments, but I'm just guessing  I've found it quite convenient being able to email questions which previously I would have had to ask at an actual appointment, and I've always had a speedy reply. You can send photos as well. I don't know about forms and letters. That sounds bad. Have the admin staff changed recently?

    • The yoghurt was very sharp (not sure of right word) and  if memory serves quite runny. Nothing like the stuff sold now. There was pink as well. Strawberry? That must have had sugar in? Too new fangled for us, but my Auntie Grace down the road used to get it 😂 Well, you had to keep up to date. Sorry, couldn't resist.
    • Blimey Sue  That was a rough neighbourhood if the birds were nicking your bottles. 😅
