I'm sure that very few people on this forum would ever admit to such an offence, (even one that now carries even harsher penalties), but it can't just be me thats driven to distraction, (no pun intended) by people driving around ED while on the phone.

Not being holier than thou about it, i'm trying to make a conscious effort to not answer/use my phone while driving, especially down residential roads, (or any road for that matter.)

(It's actually quite easy when you try.)

Either pull over when you can, or (horror) not answer the phone and call back later when you're not in control of over a ton of steel and glass, (or 2 tonnes if driving a 4x4.)

Don't want to sound like i'm ranting, but it must be, (naturally bad driving not withstanding) one of the most annoying habits I experience, on a daily basis on the local roads.

Any views appreciated...!?

Got really niggled yesterday by a woman in a car who was trying to turn right onto (is it the start if Peckham Rye)? from Nunhead direction, anyway, basically trying to turn right when it clearly says 'no right turn' and she was blathering on her mobile. When she realised what she was doing ('cos she was getting beeped) she roared with laughter into her phone and turned right regardless ... "silly cow" I muttered

    • However, some would particularly like to avoid reviews of the 'there are far too many mice'; 'the cakes are deteriorating badly' nature. If you consider that a 'Negative Nelly' response. My experience was that the hot drinks and the varieties of e.g. teas on offer, were generally a positive element. As were the staff serving.
    • The hare krishna restaurant is called Govindas and still going strong in Soho Street, a different establishment to the one that used to be (still is?) in Hanway Street. I must go back to Govindas some time
    • Its that time of year again, past Christmas day and late delayed cards are turning up. How late are your cards arriving ?  Last year I had one delivered 4 weeks late. Can that be beaten this year ?
    • Sadly, a lot of businesses didn't invite reviews on the EDF at that time due to a number of "negative nellies" that would take delight in posting unfavourable comments, often despite never being to the business in question.  No matter how good the place was, some posters would find fault that wasn't there "don't lile the colour of the bidet set in the private bathroom, avocado 😅" Can hardly blame businesses at the time for not wanting reviews on here, thankfully that has mostly changed now.
