Recommendation following repair for smashed iPad screen

I just wanted to give a big recommendation for NetQuest on Pellatt Road. On Monday I smashed the screen on my iPad. Following a conversation with Apple who said it would cost me ?185 to get it repaired, I searched the EDF and found other recommendations for Christian at NetQuest. I sent him a message on the forum and heard back almost straight away. Today I picked up my beautifully repaired IPad, with it's shiny new screen for a fraction of the price quoted by Apple. Thoroughly recommend him for a speedy, very reasonably priced and good quality job.

Just be aware that Apple probably won't help you with any future problems you may have with your iPad, as it's a non Apple repair. Had my iPhone screen replaced by an independent place but when I subsequently took it to Apple for a completely unrelated problem they refused to help and I had to buy a new phone!http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-forum/stop.gif

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
