Is it me or do none of these Emoticons cover Winking?

Being a cheeky chappie, sometimes I like to wink but seem unable to here.

Can anyone suggest any help in this direction please Guys...

p.s Its just that I feel that a wink on here breaks the ice sometimes as a greeting.

The internet equivalent of a handshake,if you like.

Jah:Nah!

Its just that there are Emoticons for various other types of expression but none for the good old-fashioned and time-honoured Cockney habit of Winking.

Which in a Sarf London based Forum I find rather strange.

Don't get me wrong I'm not one to diss the Proverbs but I have winketh more times than I care to remember and its never caused me any sorrow,I have to say.(Wink)

Isn't the one I used above a wink then?

Admittedly,I'm not from these parts but from where I come from thats not my idea of someone Winking, one feels compelled to say.

Looking content nae pleased I will grant you, but Winking ?

Its hard to tell sometimes but I suggest NOT! Sir!

...though it might be,you can't always tell these days....

No, bring sheep into it, because we know they're going to just be coy references to bestiality.

As opposed to the appalling fuckery of emoticons. We all know they're wrong, let's just stop it now.

And bury them in the same pit as LOL, IMO, IMHO etc.

Let's consider the use of them as a condition, or syndrome if you will and advise anyone using them to seek homeopathic or other voodoo medical help.

Come on, it'll be a start.

    • I know - we have been here lots of times since it first opened,  which is why we were disappointed that it was closed at a time it was supposed to be open, but with no notice to say why! I guess we will just  have to ask the reason at our next visit, but I'm not sure we will risk Saturday lunchtime again unless we find the closure  was an unavoidable one off ....
    • Nope. I don’t have this wrong. I’ve tried to put my point across respectfully, without resorting to personal, angry insults. And all my colleagues agree that the BBC got this right in its condemnation.    All you see is confirmation bias.    If you don’t realise that, then you’re part of the problem.
    • We have always gone during the week at lunch time - great place and good value. Husband has been several times on his own and owner knows his first name. I could not go one time for some reason and she sent him home with some spring rolls (free)
