Helen Hayes selected to be Labour PPC for Dulwich & W Norwood

College Ward Cllr Helen Hayes has been selected as Labour's Prospective Parlimentary Candidate for Dulwich and West Norwood, replacing Tessa Jowell who is retiring at the next election.

This will see two current Southwark Cllr's standing for parliament at the next general election as The Lane ward Cllr Rowenna Davis is the PPC for Southampton Itchen for Labour.

Oh God help us! Two Southwark Councillors (nearly every one of whom has made it clear from their actions - or in many cases in my experience inaction - that they are simply Southwark Council shills, i.e., the exact opposite of what a councillor should be) standing as MPs! So, more noses down in the government trough. Great stuff.
