Highly Recommended contractor needed to start job asap

I am looking for a contractor to take on a renovation job in my flat: wall knocked down, new bathrooms fitted, sanding all floorboards, electrics work etc.

I have architect plans ready and need a reasonable quote. They will need to be used to working to detailed architect plans.

The contractor I was going to use is now unable to do the job and I'm working to a tight deadline.

Can anyone recommend anyone who does work to a high quality finish?

Thankyou!!!

I've been working on a job that has also had a couple of Polish guys working at the same place. Both the Polish guys were complaining how lazy some of their fellow countrymen are.

Total bollocks again I'm afraid. Loads of lazy, jaded, moaning builders out there for whom its always somebody else's fault. Nothing wrong with the OP's request. Plenty decent builders would do that job as part if a bundle. See attached for not unreasonable results?

Because it doesn't fit with my plan to work less and moan about the world owing me a favour??...whilst scratching my arse over a luke warm pint in the Castle?

Thankyou Stephen and 'localhandyman' I will pm you. Grace3 - I don't understand what you mean by 'expectations'. I was outlining the things I need done- I will pay a fair wage: if someone chooses not to do that they don't need to respond.
There is some weirdness on this forum sometimes. People post requests for recommendations then others who seem to have no interest in the thread other than to pass some sort of comment, any sort comment, clutter things up with a load of inanity. Do us a favour and use the other areas of the forum if you want a bit of banter or flirting. Polite request.

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
