Recommendations required for removal firms

Hi,

Would appreciate any recommendations for good removal firms. Will be moving to Sussex to happy to consider non local firms too.

I can box up everything, but won't be able to dismantle beds / wardrobes, etc as will be juggling a toddler at same time.

I'll want the firm to have insurance and put together beds/wardrobes and install washing machine at the other end.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jasmina

I would happily recommend Amber Moves. We used them twice in the past couple of years and they were excellent. They offer packing and/or unpacking and will do the dismantling etc. Nothing broke (in fact some of the stuff was so well packed it took AGES to unpack!), they were great guys, worked really hard and v polite (I had a newborn the second time).

pm me for further details if you're interested. I wouldn't say they will be the cheapest, but we thought we got value for money.

Hello Jasmina,

I was very satisfied with the boys from VP Removals, everything was going without any problems, moving, dismantling, assembling. It was obvious that they do this not the first time, and they do it with pleasure. I recommend VP Removals to everyone. Juliet Norman

    • Agreed, he should not be held accountable over the mess up over release of prisoners. On the other hand he did himself no favours with his gaffes on the BBC Master Mind programme where he passed on five questions. Where he did answer, here are some of his responses.... When asked who succeeded Henry VIII, Lammy incorrectly answered “Henry VII,” When asked which French scientist won Nobel prizes for both physics and chemistry?” Lammy responded with “Antoinette” When asked which fortress was built to defend Paris and later used as a prison, he answered “Versailles". When asked which variety of blue English cheese is often taken with port, he answered "Leicester" If nothing else he was entertaining.
    • Why do you think he should be toast? All these problems with the prison service apparently go way back, long before Labour took over.
