Boiler replacement - recommendation needed

Hello,

Our old boiler left us for good so we have no hot water. We should definitively replace it.

I completed a form for one of those deals currently offered on the internet but have heard that independent engineers are far better value.

Has anyone had any good experience and could recommend one?

I have found when looking for tradesmen that searching the forum For example for boiler/heating engineers will enable you to find recommendations (or warnings!!) quite quickly from a large number of forum users.
