Fabric 205 on Lordship Lane

Just went along and it doesn't seem to be open despite it being during their listed opening hours, and noone is answering the phone...I need to buy some fabric...does anyone know when the shop opens or if there is a different number?

Or anywhere else locally to buy fabric?

It's probably closed due to the owner being the rudest man on the planet! There are several fabric shops in Peckham

Or Simply Fabrics in Brixton - they have both a fabric shop and one across the road with buttons/zips etc.

I've given up on the fabric shop. Instead I go to Lewisham, where there are two very well-stocked textile shops, selling mainly dress fabrics and haberdashery, but with a limited stock of furnishing fabric.

If anyone can recommend a source of furnishing fabric that doesn't involve a trip into the centre of London I'd love to know of it.

Jean's Smart Fabrics in Blenheim Grove (I can't remember if they had furnishing fabrics)or Rolls & Rems in Lewisham

(I have just been told that Jean's Smart Fabrics has been replaced by a cafe)

fabrics galore on Lavender Hill Clapham is amazing or there are two in brixton that i cant remember the names of.

Simply fabrics in Brixton....

Two shops one with a lot of end of roll furnishing/curtain fabrics and haberdashery incredibly cheap ,

the other full of designer fabrics at silly prices.

They can be full of fashion students, but they are great places to source something special, only thing is buy it when you find it because it won't be there when you go back.
