I don't know about anyone else, but today I'm going to put sad songs on the stereo, gaze wistfully out of the window and ponder lost love. That should cheer me up.

Els vd Schuldt in Holland. The German girl gazing out of the coach in Majorca as she disappearred over the horizon for ever.

The two Italian Girls inthe chalet next door who were really "friendly" in Ibiza..Cheryl in Corfu. Linda from Stoke Newington.

Jill from Caversham.Sue from Leigh-On-Sea.Jenny/Lesley/Amanda/Anne/Rusty from work days.Chico who ran off with a German Banker to Switzerland..The Twins from West Midlands. Viv who ran off with an Afghani Guy from Dulwich, funnily enough:(

The long-legged French/Brazilian Girl who lived with me,said "she would never forget me" and came back from Brazil to move in with a Hotelier from Earls Court...and a host of others since the early 1970's all gone.

Thanks for cheering me up:(

Where's that revolver that I was asking for today in the thread that has mysteriously disappearred?

Its THE END...:(

....however there's still "J".."K" "A" and "S" on the scene so.....:):)

I was watching "The story of the guitar" on BBC a couple of weeks ago, and they visited the air guitar champion of somewhere or other. He said you can't hold nothing, you have to hold "an air guitar" to be a success. You are not playing air, you are playing an air guitar!

Thought you'd appreciate the tip Brendan.

Chico who ran off with a German Banker to Switzerland The home of the cuckoo clock? Clearly it was Chico Time.

Sadly my "Chico Time" expired but it was good while it lasted!..She lived in St.Johns Wood(very naice) and Earls Court with her Kenyan Sister(she went off with a Blonde-Haired Blue-Eyed Swedish Restauranteur in Central London).

She introduced me to "Miss Kenya" who I could not take my eyes off all night and she lived in Frankfurt with a German as well:)..Took all 3 to The Mint Casino,Cromwell Road one night. The Receptionist said on our arrival "You look gorgeous"..I replied "Thank You Very Much!":)...she said "NOT YOU,you fool!":(

"I'm sane, it's the rest of you who are mad...." at least that's what I tell myself every time my physco-analyst books me in for another 48hrs holiday.

P.S. I met Jesus last time I had such a short break, he was in an arm wrestling contest with Buddha, and Adolf Hitler was waiting to take on the winner whilst Captain Kirk played drums with Motley Crue. "Sigh" such happy memories, pity the holiday snaps never seem to develop correctly.

    • I wonder where he could be deported to, Hungary the obvious candidate in Europe, perhaps he would get on well with Modi?   Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch and Reform UK leader Nigel Farage both said Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood should look at whether Abd El Fattah's citizenship could be revoked to enable his swift removal from the UK. Farage said in a letter to Mahmood: "It should go without saying that anyone who possesses racist and anti-British views such as those of [Mr Abd El Fattah] should not be allowed into the UK." So just racists views are ok Nige?
    • Always preferred Grace and Favour to the BMC, commented in the past on this and sadly long since gone
    • If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it was a little further down the road towards LL, probably where the Fresh Flower Company is today. I'd forgotten all about it, with good reason. I think it disappeared before Blue Mountain opened and became a pizza place? I once bought a carton of milk from the deli and when I opened it, it was solid. I did get my money back though.
    • But when was it posted?! I haven't posted any this year. I can't bring myself to pay the exorbitant cost of the stamps, and at least I can sort of honestly blame it on illness. If I can't hand deliver them, I send e-cards. I know it's not the same, but it's very much easier. And as for the people who still send pages of closely handwritten letters .... very admirable in terms of the hours it must have taken them to write them,  but they remind me of those spoofs eg x has just passed all their many important exams with the highest marks possible, y has just walked round the world in a week, z has just become the first person ever to be knighted twice, we are about to fly off for our fifteenth exotic holiday this year ....... Or else (or sometimes and) they are full of who has had what illnesses and accidents and other catastrophes. Is this just my relatives and distant friends? Am I somehow attracting these reams of handwritten paper?
