Hi,

I'm looking for similar advice - an accountant who can help with last year's tax return for a partnership, advise on setting up ongoing finance systems, set up payroll (we're looking to use Freeagent) and help us move from being a partnership into a registered company.

Please drop me a message if you can help (or have a recommendation), we don't have a huge budget, but would be looking eventually for someone to help get us started, and the extent of the role will develop as does the business.

Thanks!

Becky

I normally like to give positive recommends but have to say I'd suggest you avoid LCS in Northcross road - they have made many mistakes in various aspects of doing our accounts over a period of time and have needed constant reminders to file our accounts on time etc. They may be fine for other companies but that has not been our experience.

Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
