I thought it was better than the bouncy thing at ?2 for 5 minutes. What I noticed about the slide was that the guy running it when we there couldn't remember which child was which so kept on asking people for extra money. Maybe he was just looking after it for someone for 5 minutes.

The best 2 bits of the fayre for us were definitely the free ones (free bouncy castle on the way in and the fire engine).

I think it should be a requirement for next year that the bouncy castles are run by people who at least slightly like children and who aren't running a total rip off. For example the guy who runs the bouncy castles at Crystal Palace park is a really friendly chap - he even smiles at the children and their parents. I meant to say this to the organisers last year after one of the grumpy guys hired for the Goose Green Fair grabbed my daughter really roughly (she'd only just turned 3 at the time and was very shocked and upset).

Didn't make it this year and thought it was just me but was deterred by the thought of spending a fortune on overly short goes on bouncy castles etc by grumpy unfriendly people. Detracts from the fab friendly stall holders.

Whenever Southwark council do their free bouncy castle for tots that is usually fab, well run and v friendly.

CP Park man is really good with the kids and if they're too small to manage, he'll give you money back or tell the woman he works with to out them on the easier one. Was well impressed.

?2 for 5 minutes seems fair to me, but a quid for one go on the slide is a bit much.

Saw the man in charge of the slide having a row with a 10 year old boy who was asking if his friend could go back on as he'd tripped at the top and fallen down rather than slid down. The man just said "go away. NOW!". Think it could have been handled slightly better!!

agree with everyone else. ?2 for 5 minutes seems expensive. we were at cp park for the first time last week - our older one loved the bouncy slide thing - the bloke running it was really friendly and encouraging, when our younger one couldn't manage it he offered to switch her to the smaller bouncy castle. And it was half the price from what i can remember.

On the other hand they both really enjoyed the donkey ride at the fair, and the people helping out were really friendly.

    • The BBC is one of the finest, if not the finest, broadcasters in the world.  They have been admired by many across the world for their journalism.  There have been numerous arrests since their recent expose on convenience shops that cover ups for criminals - money laundering, contraband,  illegal workers and the like. By no means perfect and some of what they have done in the modern world is questionable - the website often comes across as tabloid or sensationalist, as do some of their documentaries, and at times it is full of low grade game shows, fly on the wall etc which bring the punters and money, including overseas, in but is not quality TV.  In their desperation for 'balance' they've given too much air time and credibility to some more extreme views, which contributed to Brexit and some of the rise in right wing parties.  I wish they'd say 'the convicted criminal' every time they talk about Yaxley Lenon. The programme was clumsy, why it didn't go through proper clearance including the lawyers, I don't know.  But it created zero stir at the time. Zero.  And had no impact on the election, so Trump has no case.  I hope they don't cave in like many of the US corporations and media.  Oh and well done to South Park using the small p*nis defence in ridiculing him. What I expect is as the Beeb is pretty centrist in it;s reporting in riles some of those who thrive on the toxic populism we have seen since Trump mark 1 and Brexit.  How sad.
