Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice hotel within easy access of London Bridge? I'm planning a childless night away with a couple of girlfriends. Nice bed and bath a must. Otherwise we're easy on countryside or town. Just needs to be a good restaurant on site or within walking distance.

We just spent a BLISSFUL night at the Four Seasons in Canary Wharf. We got the train to London Bridge then the Clipper boat to the Canary Wharf stop which is right outside the Four Seasons. The best thing about it was that guests of the hotel get a free pass to the Virgin Active gym there which has an infinity pool overlooking the Thames, a sauna, steam room and two amazing hydrotherapy pools. Honestly, we did not want to leave!

Not cheap but with the spa experience included, we thought it was well worth it.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
