lilolil
My daughter is staying at a hotel near gatwick as she is due to fly out on holiday early in the morning. Whilst having dinner someone has broken into their room and stolen their bags containing their pasports and tickets. All their luggage has been checked in at the airport already. Can anyone give me some advice as to what to do re their passports etc???? microbite
I know the passport office issue same day emergency passports, but they do cost an awful lot and I am afraid I doubt they will get them in time for the early morning flight, they also involve a lot of running around gathering identification, I had to run around like a nutter when I suddenly realised, two days before my son was due to fly out, his passport had expired. No chance they were covered by insurance is there? perhaps they could rebook for another week? How awful and what an awful start to someone's holidays, they must be heartbroken. I think you may find the airport to be quite sympathetic, I hope they are and that they don't have too much trouble getting their luggage back, what a nightmare.
