  1. Oh, sorry thought it was a joke thread hehe :))
  2. Steve T You've done it now lol! we are now going to get inundated with people and their comments regarding their pet pooche's rights of way, rights to run free unfettered in the park blah blah blah, and at the risk of biting small children who really should be supervised anyways by their parents! ;-)
  3. Tips when choosing a puppy, (particularly a staff), lay the puppy on its back with your hand on his chest, if he has no problem being dominated in this way, you can usually figure on getting a friendly type dog (although not saying that if the puppy is abused or beaten in any way, it won't grow to learn to be vicious) If it looks as though it has a problem with this and growls or doesn't look happy, (he'll be frowning you know ha!) I'd steer clear as he is not going to like being told what to do. In matters of life and death, for example if you see someone getting viciously attacked say e.g. a small child and other methods, i.e. stick haven't worked or there is simply no time, grab said staff by both front legs if you can, and pull them apart, fast and hard, it will split and break their breast bones and ultimately kill them quickly, awful I know, but if a child's life is at risk, things have to be put into perspective.
  4. "Don't knock it til you've tried it" What a load of bollox, had to be my worse piece of advice as it came from a heroin addict! doh!
  5. Why should women have to hide in filthy toilets to feed their little ones surrounded by pissy floor and stinky toilets, how would you like to eat your dinner in one?
  6. The point I think everyone is trying to make basically is, that breastfeeding is ok, but cleaning shitty nappys in food establishments in full view of everyone while they are trying to eat is not. Louisa you have obviously not had kids yet, and while I understand people saying they feel embarressed watching women feeding their babies, then guess what, don't look! rather that than having some little one reaching fever pitch howling because he/she is starving!
  7. You have obviously never shopped at the Glades in Bromley a good few years back then!
  8. Fuschia - I said "some" mothers, as in some mothers like trying to make a point, I breastfed all my children and didn't care where I was, but as has been said, a pashmina is a wonderful thing, but what got up my goat was that"some" of the other mothers I sometimes found myself in the company of when doing this, would literally make a big scene of pulling up their tops exposing voluptuously filled bra, lopp their boob out and proceed to just feed without even making an effort to cover up or be discreet, even if said child was not wanting feeding, and they did it just to ruffle feathers, they would sit there and glare defiantly at anyone who would even merely curiously look their way, which I found incredulous and which was then my cue to find somewhere else to feed! so they do exist!
  9. Breastfeeding in public shouldn't be scorned at, if a child is wailing with hunger, then feed it, although sometimes I do think some mothers have taken it a wee bit too far in that some now defiantly get their tits out wherever they want, whether child is hungry or not and in full view of everyone and then glare at people daring them to challenge their right to feed in public. If a child is hungry and needs nursing, then feed them, sometimes you can't even tell, some nursing mothers have it down to a tee, (not that you should have to hide it), its a natural thing to do and should not "offend" anyone, but as for changing nappies, soiled or otherwise in eateries, or any places where food or drink is consumed, that is just completely unhygienic and totally disgusting.
  10. To quote from an earlier posting I cannot be @rsed looking up, as much as people who live in East Dulwich like to hope, and as nice a place as East Duwlich is to live in... "Barnes it is not"

  18. What the Government are actually saying is that they are going to publicly "pretend" to decry the banks' actions so as to try and appease an already p'd off public, but at the same time they are also lining up their own very large "bonus" awards by way of "expenses", the amounts and proportions of which have all now been made hush hush! You couldn't make it up!
