steveo
I'm all the way to north Norfolk on Friday night. Holt(ish)I guess M11 A11. Kings Lynn or t'other way? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44226-chelsea-on-sea/ Share on other sites
numbers
I call it east dulwich on sea ;)Avoid kings Lynn that's too far over. You want M11, A11 then A1065 at Barton mills all the way up thru Swaffham then turn right onto A148 towards Sheringham.Highly recommend the Brays Cottage pork pies made locally. Back to the Garden is fab for food and drinks. Have fun. pS the drive is really slow but it's the best way by far.Edit: sorry I know you didn't ask for food recs, couldn't help myself! edit: never type from a phone again. adonirum
Steveo Check out the Holt -to- Sheringham steam railway. Lovely scenery. Filmed a lot of Dad's Army there. Holt Station is a bit out from the town centre nice walk to it though or parking for your car at reasonable tariff. steveo
Thanks for the pork pie/steam railway/caravan park murder recommendations but I shall be busy drinking fine wines in a country house. But keep 'em comingI suppose there's no alternative to the Blackwall tunnel on Friday evening? That will be less fun Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44226-chelsea-on-sea/#findComment-746696 Share on other sites
El Pibe
I'd normally go rotherhithe when heading that direction (suffolk in this case) to see my mum. Then you can do some nice shimmies to get to the M11 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44226-chelsea-on-sea/#findComment-746700 Share on other sites
adonirum
Yes Steveo far far quicker way (assuming you're in/near ED itself, but longer in distance) Nunhead Lane all the way to OKR left/right along by Millwall F.C. going towards Surrey Quays then Rotherhithe Tunnel then left/right and through Limehouse Link Tunnel onto A13 onto North Circular Road straight onto M11. Normally only bit of queueing traffic (at lights) between tunnels. Proceed as aboveNever the BWT Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44226-chelsea-on-sea/#findComment-746707 Share on other sites
