I wasn't familiar with that line from Vitas, and Vitas was a man who knew a good line when he saw one.

Back to my old Peckham haunts to visit my Dentist of the last 44 years tomorrow.

Might catch the "12" to East Dulwich for old times sake;-)

Is it still a Routemaster so that you can hop on and off whenever you like?:))

Kel: Sorry,I was out and missed "lunch"::o

To be honest, I was going to try and pretend to be male on this forum, but couldn't carry it off! ha! I was a bit concerned about revealing too much as someone on this forum said to be careful about what people disclose of themselves in relation to personal information, I'm not for one moment saying that anyone on here is capable of being a stalker and recognising you in the street from your description on an internet chat forum! but caution isn't a bad thing sometimes, whilst of course at the same time having fun and making new friends.

Microbite, you make a good point - we all chatter away and put down lots too much information... it's good to be cautious. Can't remember whether I've said hello before - if not, sorry and hello!

But if you were born with the good fortune to be female there's no need to lower yourself, come now.

    • Hello.  A parcel for someone at 64B Blenheim Grove has been dumped at my address.  If anyone from 64B is in this forum, please get in touch!
    • CPR Dave is anti-dogs. Each to their own  I think my dog has perhaps grown a bit less nervy about the fireworks in the last few weeks, interestingly. Our last dog had no problems with them until he reached old age, when he became petrified.  CPR Dave - it's not just sounds of the metropolis they hate, mine collapses in fear when he hears thunder too
    • There's quite a difference between going for a run around the footpaths and trying to sit quietly for an afternoon in a wide, grassy area and enjoying the peace & nature. The other two grassy areas in the park are used for sports, and both had barriered trackway running through them. The Parkrun had to be cancelled for at least three weeks, iirc. I'm concerned by your continued reference to "the rye" - the event is held in the park, not on the rye (common). There is a big difference, despite the organisers and council artificially amalgamating the whole area when trying to convince everyone that it's only a small area that is closed off. The railings & gates enclosing the park are a big clue...
