HI

I am interested in doing super early bike rides on Sunday. I normally head out at 5AM from East Dulwich and aim to be back by 8am so I can spend time with the kids and wife. Anyone interested? I want to build my speed up - would like to hit 35kph - currently at 28kph over a 3 hour distance

I'll keep an eye on this. I'm a regular commuter to and from work (24 miles per day) however I have just picked up a new road bike so have been going out on the weekends. Looking at joining the Dulwich Paragon when I get a free Saturday however would also be up for rides on the weekends with others.

Need to improve my fitness before committing but I'll give you a shout when I feel ready!

I'd like to start this again. Looking for one or two others to go out on 20,30,40 milers but at a steady enjoyable pace with breaks for snacks or lunch.

Previously it's been an hour and a half one way and back, with rest breaks, so a three hour ride at ten miles per hour is a thirty mile round trip which is a good work out.

I'm very open to suggestions

    • The hare krishna restaurant is called Govindas and still going strong in Soho Street, a different establishment to the one that used to be (still is?) in Hanway Street. I must go back to Govindas some time
    • Its that time of year again, past Christmas day and late delayed cards are turning up. How late are your cards arriving ?  Last year I had one delivered 4 weeks late. Can that be beaten this year ?
    • Sadly, a lot of businesses didn't invite reviews on the EDF at that time due to a number of "negative nellies" that would take delight in posting unfavourable comments, often despite never being to the business in question.  No matter how good the place was, some posters would find fault that wasn't there "don't lile the colour of the bidet set in the private bathroom, avocado 😅" Can hardly blame businesses at the time for not wanting reviews on here, thankfully that has mostly changed now.
    • Was that the Hare Krishna place? I can't remember exactly where it was (or maybe still is) but it was somewhere around Oxford Street.
