Hi everyone,

Does anyone know whats happening with the Concrete House on L Lane? I know its being managed by Hexagon as affordable apartments... I believe some sort of shared ownership scheme. I think this is brilliant - so needed in London, and it was such a pleasure to see the place restored to glory.

However - its still empty, and has been since the refurb was finished.... I was hoping for there to be new tenants and see activity in that place for the first time in so many years... but its still empty. Anyone know why?

Cheer!

    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….
