yeknomyeknom
Hello,My boy is 18mths old and has been walking for about 7mths now. He wears flexible start rite shoes usually. I bought him wellies for the rainy weather but they are really hard for him to walk in and his feet often slip out. Does anyone know of anything softer and more flexible that are easy to put on (ie zips or Velcro) and suit the rain? I have seen something called rainsplats that look ideal but they are for older children it seems. snowboarder
My boys both had croc snow boots when they were little - much lighter than wellies and these ones http://www.crocs.co.uk/crocs-kids-crocband-ii-5-gust-boot/12905,en_GB,pd.html?cid=485&cgid=boys-footwear-boots have a velcro tightening strap. Not cheap though...maybe on ebay? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44792-alternative-to-wellies/#findComment-750260 Share on other sites

yeknomyeknom
Unfortunately these start at size 6 and my boy is still in 4, nearly size 5. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44792-alternative-to-wellies/#findComment-750327 Share on other sites
Knomester
I find the vivobarefoot wellies, although quite pricey, are much more flexible and therefore easier for littles ones to walk in. Not sure what sizes they start at though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44792-alternative-to-wellies/#findComment-750381 Share on other sites
Crokes
Try these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003SEOV64/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1They fit over their shoes and are great when they are still in smaller sized shoes and/or flexible soles. snowboarder
Yes - my eldest had these at 18m, and he had tiny feet - must have been about a 4 - so either they changed the sizing or he was in the smallest they do....I'll try and look them out!
