Starting from Hackney:

Regents Canal - Hertford Union Canal - The Greenway - Beckton District Park - Woolwich Ferry - Thames Path - Greenwich Foot Tunnel - Through Docklands to Limehouse and back to Regents Canal.

You can use Greenwich Foot Tunnel as a starting point and make it a full loop missing out a bit of the Regents Canal at Hackney. The Loop is roughly 20 Miles + To/From Greenwich makes it about 25 (I Think). It is possible to do the whole loop off road.

It's 12ish miles out to Richmond Park on the south circular via Tulse Hill, Clapham and Putney, about a 7 mile lap around the park, nice coffee and a cake at the cafe there too! Or head out to Biggin Hill via Crystal Palace and West Wickham - always quiet on s saturday morning
The part of the Sustrans Thames Valley London Oxford cycle path between London and Windsor is stunning at this time of year - all houseboats, willow trees, cow parsley and idyllic waterside houses. Not very convenient for SE22, but unbeatable on an early summer day. I would start at top of Kew, on river path, and get train back from Windsor.

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
