Builder recommendations please

Hi

We've been let down at the last minute by our builder, who was due to start in a week's time.

Has anyone got any genuine recommendations. We're looking to remove walls, put in an RSJ, move a loo that kind of thing. Our guy, before he turned bad, was highly recommended and extremely reasonable. Very gutted and need to get things going in the next fortnight or whenever is practically possible.

We're about to instruct builders for our own project, it would be good to know who your builder was(who let you down) so we can avoid them! Also did you get anyone to do the job in the end, would you recommend them?
