Convex
hello if you have a child in nursery, they get funded hours from the term after they turn 3. i think its 17 hours pwk, term time only. does anyone know what this equates to in terms of money?thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/45496-govt-funded-nursery-place-after-3/ Share on other sites
hellosailor
Hi convex,It's 15 hours, based on term time so 33 weeks a year. This means that it equates to 15 free hours only in certain settings like school nurseries. In full time nurseries it tends to mean a reduction in your monthly bill rather than it working out to 15 free hours a week, so for instance our toddler's 2 full days at nursery per week went from costing about ?450 a month to about ?250 a month after the grant kicked in. Strawbs
A mum at my nursery has just had this conversation and it comes to approximate 250 per month. The fees also drop by approx ?100 when they turn 3.
