p_in_ed
Just sat and watched Antiques Roadshow where an Anthony Gormley maquette for the Angel of the North was valued at a million squid.Highly likely that the cast for the bronze maquette would have been made in what used to be his studio on Bellenden Road. What price now the Gormley bollards along Bellenden Road. A sound investment by the Council. Probably worth slurping some additional concrete around the bases though, before the whole lot disappear. snorky
you do a bit of scrounging in the rubbish on bin day outside the studio - And I am being serious here - soem very interesting stuff comes up...PS Anyone interested in a workbook of design sketches from a world famous sculptor & artist ?I will regret this comement later, when I find that the once rich pickings have been rifled by the arriviste ED media glitterati Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4577-million-pound-antiques-and-bellenden-road/#findComment-147871 Share on other sites
LostThePlot
> What price now the Gormley bollards along> Bellenden Road...What was odd was going to the Angel earler this year, and noticing that the bollards around that are the same as down Bellenden Road.Recycle and Reuse....
