theboycj
We are looking to have a glass splashback screen added to our kitchen and I wanted to see if anyone could advise of any recommendations from the East Dulwich Area they may have or a good online shop etc that provided a good splashback at a good price?!Any advice offered would be most helpful! paulhandyman
I did install some glass splashbacks in several kitchens. Usually I bought them from B&Q or IKEA http://www.diy.com/nav/rooms/kitchens/kitchen-splashbacks/glassy_splashbacks/IT-Kitchens-Splashback-Glass-Black-H-750-x-W-600mm-9321001It is very easy to install them on the wall as you have only to drill 4 holes and use provided screws/caps. It is good idea to paint the wall before you fit the glass panels as you can get very nice color effects. Have a look at the attached photo - we did paint the wall grey before the splashbacks were fitted. Also you can buy special stainless steel power sockets which are installed under the kitchen top units to avoid any holes in your glass panels. btw aslo Currys do them quite cheap now: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/built-in-appliances/built-in-cooking/hoods-splashbacks/splashbacks/sandstrom-s90spgw13-glass-splashback-21363738-pdt.html (no need to use screws with them) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/45951-kitchen-splashback/#findComment-758346 Share on other sites
Mariamadeit
We bought glass cut to size from the glass place on the corner in Peckham, really pleased, just used the adhesive stuff to stick them on the wall and siliconed around the edge, easy peasy! They have a good range of colours or can colour match, the man even let me run home quickly with the samples to check we had the right colour. dresswaves
Brought a splash back from here http://www.kagglass.co.uk several years ago. Was not cheap but absolutely delighted with it. They supply sample tiles and were very helpful over the phone when I supplied the measurements. Makes a real feature in the kitchen. pps
well clearly you have not installed any as you would know there all easy install just peel paper and stick to wall ,tut tut tut, there not screwed as that would defeat the objuect of having a hole where germs could then breed .....
