6th Form in SE London

Does anyone know of any 6th form colleges or schools with a 6th form that have a good reputation for their performing arts choices (particularly music). I only know of the Brit School. I'm moving to a place near Forest Hill in September with my family and I'm looking for somewhere my 16-year-old son can attend a sixth-form. Music is his greatest passion, so I really want to find somewhere which will support him in this way.

Dunraven in Streatham has a brilliant orchestra and takes its music department very seriously.

Askes in telegraph hill used to be really strong on music, although one of the driving forces in the music department retired recently so not sure what it is like now. Pretty easy from forest hill.

I think I've read that Forest Hill Boys school is good for performing arts but I have no experience...

Hi Reubenreuben,

as said by Slh above, Forest Hill Boys is strong on performing arts and is local to you. As stated by Emily Pie, Haberdasher's in Telegraph Hill is strong on music and has music scholarships (but I don't know if there are any for year 12 entry). It does take quite a few external pupils at 16+ into it's 6th form centre. Kingsdale has been awarding music scholarships for a few years, It has good facilities.
