Foxtons Branch in East Dulwich will be M&S... (Lounged)

Recommended Posts

I I find it a bit odd that there's so much sensitivity on this site about possible defamation and/or prejudicing someone's criminal trial by publishing comment, yet someone posts a plainly defamatory rumour about Foxtons being in administration (which is obviously untrue, or we would have seen something about it in the press by now) without there being any concerns raised. It appears that Engles doesn't understand what administration is, but I'm not sure that would be any defence. I know many people don't like Foxtons much (me included) but I don't think that's a good reason for publishing false information about them!

Oh and Engles ended with the following:

"As for being lounged - what fun... that's not happened to me before. Watch out for the news everyone - cheers - Engles"

Well, seeing as that was his or her first ever posting (at least under that name) it wouldn't have happened before would it?

A comment about as reliable as the posting.

Foxtons is owned by BC Partners anyway. There is no Foxtons 'company' as we used to know it.

It was a Leveraged Buy-Out (LBO) back when the markets were on steroids, so perhaps they are in trouble. The original post was clearly rubbish. 'Mr Foxtons' didn't do too badly from that, so I very much doubt he's too worried, although his Holland Park mansion my have lost as few pennies in the past few months.

Foxtons...What p***ed me off with them, is why the hell do they have to keep that huge tv screen on day and night, what a bloody waist of money and energy, not to mention the enviroment.

Some folks have been a bit nasty about Foxtons, you should'nt gloat if there in financial dificulties, which I dont believe they are there a huge chain surely they can ride the storm.

Dont think we will get a M&S or a Waitrose. You never know you might get an Argos!

    • @Penguin68 I find your post really weird and frankly  a bit creepy. The discussion is about the fact that a charity shop has a sale on and whether their pricing and stock policy has changed. To twist that into an attack on government fiscal policies and an oblique snipe at the cross party supported assisted dying legislation, passed with clear support from the majority of the public, is just bafflingly bizarre. I am relieved that you stopped short of blaming Southwark Council or TfL. There is no contradiction between the intent of the assisted dying bill and the work of hospices, it does not force doctors to do anything and suicide doesn’t exist- it was abolished as a crime in 1961.  If you wish to raise yet another argument you have already lost, I suggest you start a new thread rather than divert this one off topic.
