"The Peck"! Is this really the new lovable nickname for the neighbourhood formerly known as Peckham? How about Catters for Catford and Lewy for Lewisham?

'Newisham' I believe it is, now that Jonathan Downey has turned his eyes to it.

I have also heard attempts at 'Pecksvegas'.

Back in the 80s, some of the new entrants to Clapham (from across the river) were trying to call it 'Clarm' to gentrify it - I am expecting 'Pe'm' quite soon.

That is worse than renaming part of the Bellenden ward, "The French Quarter".

the Christmas market was pretty tragic - didn't make the munch thing. Much prefer that indoor market in the Bussey that's occasionally on.
