Kind of shoulder bag?Do they have to carry a lot of heavy books or only work sheets?Colourful or plain? Any input would be really helpful! Ondine
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eastpak-Messenger-Bag-Delegate-Liters/dp/B000CRDB5M/ref=sr_1_7?s=luggage&ie=UTF8&qid=1407913689&sr=1-7&keywords=eastpakMy girls settled on this style - initially expensive but last a couple of years - and lots of choice of colour Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/47879-what-kind-of-school-bag-for-secondary-school/#findComment-773287 Share on other sites
2nd time mummy
Agree with Ondine, messenger is our choice here too. Also prevent pickpocketing as bag is on the side rather then on the back. boyohboy
I would definitely NOT get messenger bag - they carry large amounts of books which are extremely heavy and will hurt when carried on one shoulder. Go for a rucksack type? Plus, they have to carry sports kit, musical instruments etc and two spare hands is great. teecee
Try Thomas's school & sport on Croxted rd they have got a plain black rucksack ( larger size ) with thick padded straps for extra support on the back for 19.99. sillywoman
One of mine has a messenger bag, one has a rucksack, both are happy and have no problems (though their bags do seem to weigh a ton). Get whatever style she wants, in whatever colour she wants. She'll change her mind a few weeks into term anyway once she's had a chance to check out what everyone else has. Come Christmas you'll be getting her a new one. :D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/47879-what-kind-of-school-bag-for-secondary-school/#findComment-773568 Share on other sites
boyohboy
Hahaha Sillywoman? you are so right! Enjoy should listen to you - I forgot how fickle kids can be and she'll want what everyone else has by Christmas as you say:) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/47879-what-kind-of-school-bag-for-secondary-school/#findComment-773660 Share on other sites
