On Whateley Rd today, how could this happen?

I saw this today and hopefully no-one was hurt at the bus stop or houses damaged - the truck had a crane type thing on it, which was lying sideways but in an upright position! Not sure how upright though! Hope the driver wasn't in it!!

I think there is basement level building work going in that area-maybe a delivery gone wrong.

From what I saw and didn't go up close, the truck also had a crane thing on it, and it was upright - although lying on it's side since the truck was!! The crane part was over the path and into the front of someone's home - but I don't know if it actually damaged the property! The bus stop sign was though from the truck. I didn't take another photo of the crane bit, I should have!!

cripes I missed that, i'm at the other end of the road. they have been doing work on the basement for ages and there's been a skip so maybe an accident moving that?

It looks to me like the truck on its side may have been dropping off something heavy from its onboard crane without having let down the stabiliser legs under the truck first. I get the impression that the guy with the orange crane is using it to try and pull the truck upright, as it looks like a green webbing strap is running between the truck and crane grabber?
