My dad had a great story where he moved a sofa from Whitechapel to Mile End (big, haevy duty old style thing) and he bought the lifters a pint at every pub they passed, which they drank sitting on the sofa....if they went straight up the Whitechapel Road that's a fook of a lot of pubs, or was in 1960.

if you still want it let me know,

Indeed, and I'm sure somebody would offer a lift. I'm not around and have slipped discs. The old, only 100m thing reminded me of a time I Helped an elderly lady with 1 bag of shopping. Only 1 bag...once I'd dropped it at her door, I ended up moving a chair, 3 book boxes from upstairs downstairs and various other bits and bobs..40 mins later the crafty devil had gotten a mini removal out of me. Good deed done though.

    • Another recommendation for Adam on the Dartmouth Road. Have been going there for years. I will never go anywhere else (unless I move home to somewhere far away!) No faff, very reasonal price and nice atmosphere 👍
    • Thanks so much I’ll try that too… might still try getting hold of an air purifier as well if at all possible - want to try cover all bases!
    • The 185 is often the same. But that's why buses sometimes (and annoyingly) stop to "regulate the service". To be fair, it's often due to traffic conditions. If there is not much traffic, the one behind catches up with the one in front.
    • I imagine this is because of the average  additional time involved, due to the styles. You could have asked the reason? I will ask, next time I'm in there.  Many salons have this differential pricing.
